POSITION: Chief Financial Officer

NATURE OF BUSINESS: Industrial Manufacturing

JOB LOCATION: Gauteng

REPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer

 

SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY: Assume responsibility for planning, directing, managing and controlling the company’s financial activities, tax, fiscal, legal and investor relations operations. This includes establishing and maintaining financial controls, preparing and interpreting financial reports and protecting the organisation’s assets.

KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

Essential to hold an accounting qualification and be a qualified chartered accountant

A minimum of 10 years experience as the Financial Controller of a manufacturing plant together with experience in other areas of finance

Should currently be leading the financial division or be Second-in-Charge of an industrial manufacturing organisation which has multiple operating divisions and has an annual turnover of at least R5 billion

Strong cost and management accounting skills

Excellent communication ability, both verbal and written

 

KEY JOB PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Achieve EBITDA and other financial targets

Contain and reduce transformation cost increases and leakages

Improve productivity and reduce fixed costs by achieving agreed budget figures

Ensure investors are adequately briefed with regard to the turnaround strategy
