POSITION: Human Resources Director

NATURE OF BUSINESS: Automotive-Related Industry

JOB LOCATION: Cape Town

REPORTS TO: Managing Director, South Africa

SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY: Assume responsibility and accountability for the Human Resources function with particular emphasis on providing operational human resources support, implementing strategic human resources initiatives as well as acting as Human Resources Business Partner in supporting the local business teams. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

               At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in Operational Human Resources within the Industrial Manufacturing sector is essential

               Should have led the Human Resources function in a company or division that employs at least 500 people and has multiple manufacturing plants

               Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development,   employee relations, training, and preventive labour relations

               Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources programs

               Experience in operational Human Resources within the Industrial Manufacturing sector is essential.

               Should ideally have an active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations and ongoing community involvement

               Experience in influencing senior managers, building strong commercial relationships and driving a Human Resources strategy
