Group Head, Executive Compensation and Expatriate Services

The Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of the multinational media group, focuses on electronic media, including pay-television, internet and instant-messaging subscriber platforms and the provision of related technologies.

The Company's primary operations are located in South Africa, with significant operations located around the world including Sub-Saharan Africa, the Netherlands, Russia, Poland, the United States, Thailand, India, China and Brazil.

Position Summary:

Assume responsibility and authority for the Company's Executive Compensation and Expatriate Services functions.

Key Attributes Required:

  • 10 years of experience in Compensation and Benefits with international dimensions
  • Bachelor of Commerce degree in Personnel Management
  • Should currently be Head/2IC of Compensation & Benefits/Expatriate Services for a multinational organisation or a Director/Senior Consultant of a Global Remuneration Consultancy
  • Significant local and international experience in the analysis, evaluation and design of remuneration systems for all levels of employees with an emphasis on senior management
  • Experience in the development of (international) remuneration policies and procedures
  • Must have led a team of human resources/remuneration specialists
    Knowledge of market research and statistical analysis with experience in conducting and/or interpreting surveys
  • Knowledge of transfer of funds internationally, taxation and its impact on remuneration packages
  • Sound knowledge of job evaluation systems
  • Track record of counseling and the resolution of employees' issues
